BILLINGS — The All-American Indian Shootout will return to First Interstate Arena at MetraPark for its 2023 event next weekend with two days of high school boys and girls basketball games and an eight-school field.
First started in 2013, the shootout, entirely consisting of schools either from Native American reservations or with heavy Native ties, has been a recurring celebration of Native hoops in Montana's biggest arena. Nursery
A total of 16 games will be played Dec. 8 and 9 at the Metra along with the Parade of Athletes celebration on the first day, where Don Wetzel Jr. — the son of legendary Blackfeet athlete, coach and activist Don Wetzel Sr., who died in March — will appear as guest speaker.
All tickets for the event throughout the weekend will be general admission. Ticket prices are currently not listed on the Metra website.
